Gaun Khane (गाउँ खाने कथा) is an offline riddle quiz game for Android. Read a riddle, tap one of four answers, get instant feedback, see your score.

The App works entirely on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server belonging to the developer. There is nowhere for the App to send your data, so it does not.

The one exception is advertising. The App contains Google AdMob, which collects data on Google’s behalf. The developer never receives any of that data.

The App has no backend and no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDK other than Google AdMob. It collects nothing, stores nothing on any server, transmits nothing to the developer, and sells nothing.

There is no user account of any kind, and no personal data is ever collected by the App itself.

The App embeds the Google Mobile Ads SDK (via the google_mobile_adsFlutter plugin). This software collects data on Google’s own behalf. The developer has no access to it.

Standard Google Mobile Ads data collection comprises:

• The device’s Android Advertising ID
• IP address, and coarse approximate location derived from it
• Advertising interaction data: which ads were shown, and whether they were viewed or clicked
• Device and app diagnostics: device model, manufacturer, OS version and API level, app version, language and locale, network type, screen density
• Cookies and similar technologies in app storage, used for frequency capping and fraud prevention

The App declares these permissions, all of which come from the ads SDK: INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, WAKE_LOCK.

The App requests no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, phone-state, or SMS permissions.

Ads are placed sparingly. Banners appear on the Home, Categories, Progress, and Result screens, never during a question. An interstitial appears only after a player finishes a full game, and only once every third completed game. Nothing is served on app launch or mid-question.

In some regions, including the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and certain US states, ads may be limited or non-personalised. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through My Ad Center.

The App stores a small amount of gameplay data locally using Android SharedPreferences. It is private to the app sandbox. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

• Which riddles you marked as favourites — a list of riddle IDs
• Game progress: total games played, total questions answered, correct-answer count, best score, and the IDs of riddles already completed
• A counter of completed games since the last interstitial ad, used for ad frequency
• Your theme preference (light, dark, or system) and whether sound is on

This data never leaves your device. To erase it, clear the app’s storage: Android Settings → Apps → Gaun Khane → Storage → Clear data, or simply uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes it permanently.

The ads SDK uses your device’s Android Advertising ID, a resettable identifier assigned by Google. It can be deleted or reset at any time in Android settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (paths vary by device and Android version), or you can opt out of personalised ads via My Ad Center. Resetting it does not remove previously stored data; clearing or uninstalling the App does.

The App is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children, and because the App collects nothing itself, no child’s data is ever collected by the developer.

Ads are served by Google. Use the tools linked above to control or opt out of personalised advertising.

Data on your device is yours to keep or erase. You can delete the App’s local data or uninstall at any time, as described above.

To be clear about a limitation: the developer cannot access, correct, or delete your personal data, because the developer never holds any. Advertising data collected by the ads SDK sits with Google, not with the developer. Requests about that data need to go to Google via My Ad Center and Google’s privacy policy.

You can opt out of personalised advertising, reset your Advertising ID, and clear or uninstall the App. Those controls are the complete set of choices available for this App.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date at the top. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised policy.
